David Spreen has filed ITPs (492931 and 467377) on these two packages. Once they are uploaded, it's just a matter of adding the correct dependencies.
One simple question: on which package from logilab-devtools do you feel these dependencies should be added?
I guess ropemacs depends on rope and logilab-elisp will have to depend on ropemacs. If ropevim is also packaged, we might want to add a logilab-vim package to logilab-devtools.
I'm adding a logilab-dev-environment package:
Depends: python-all-dev, python-all-dbg, emacs, python-ropemacs,
logilab-packaging, pycoverage, logilab-elisp, build-essentials,
pylint, mercurial, subversion, debinstall, hgview, meld, rcs, commit-tool
Recommends: vim-python | gvim
Description: minimum set of packages for development at Logilab
This meta-package ensures Python and pylint are available, as well as
emacs, Logilab's packaging tools, and the version control tools used
at Logilab (mercurial and subversion).
Any other obvious dependency I missed ?
