Defining your own views

Once you have read the RQL tutorial and you know the application'schema, you're ready to define your own views. Just type the RQL query retreiving data you're interested in in the search field. If the view used to display them doesn't fit your need, choose another one in the possible views box (this box isn't displayed by default, but you can activate it in your user preferences). Once you're satified, add a bookmark if you want to reuse this view later.

RSS driven

RSS is a pretty useful technology that can be widely used on this site. Any set of data can be presented as RSS. You can then plug in an RSS reader into that and follow the site activity. For example :

:raw-html:`<p><a class="reference" href="/view?vid=rss&amp;rql=Any%20X%20WHERE%20X%20is%20Blog%2C%20X%20creation_date%20M%20ORDERBY%20M%20DESC%20LIMIT%2010"><img alt="rss" src="data/rss.png"> latest blogs</a></p><p> <a class="reference" href="/view?vid=rss&amp;rql=Any%20X%20WHERE%20X%20is%20Comment%2C%20X%20creation_date%20M%20ORDERBY%20M%20DESC%20LIMIT%2010"><img alt="rss" src="data/rss.png"> latest comments</a></p>`
